Podhum Memorial Complex
In 1970, a monument with 91 shields was erected at the memorial cemetery in the Soboli memorial area, as a memorial to the 91st residents of Podhum who were shot dead in July 1942. The monument was made by the academic sculptor Šime Vulas. Today, the magnificent monument is a memorial cemetery and is a recognizable anti-fascist monument where once a year the victims of Podhum are honored. On July 12, 1942, a great crime took place in national history, and the monument is a symbol of that time.
