Historic houses hosting a collection of a still functioning keyboard instruments within a context of vintage furniture. Visitors can get a glimpse of the history of piano, harpsichord and organ. The exhibition belongs to the Carniamusei network.
La settecentesca casa Scala ospita una particolare raccolta di strumenti musicali a tastiera che in sintesi rappresenta la storia dell’organo, del clavicembalo e del pianoforte. Collocati su tre piani, gli strumenti non sono esposti nelle sale secondo i criteri tradizionali utilizzati nelle esposizioni museali, ma fanno parte dell’arredo di una casa signorile e agiata di musicisti benestanti del periodo barocco e romantico. Il museo è inserito nella rete museale Carniamusei.

Fratelli Leita (Leita Brothers)
The Leita Brothers (experts about piano and opera), through the teachings and support of Master Canciani (Paularo) have learned and developed the skills to build and restore ancient musical instruments. Currently they own a company producing harpsichords, all built using certified (PEFC) wood from the surrounding forests and using traditional techniques. All of the harpsichords are built using as models ancient instruments owned by various European museums.
Michele ed Alessandro Leita, rispettivamente studiosi di pianoforte e di canto lirico, hanno acquisito le conoscenze e le competenze nella costruzione di clavicembali e nel restauro di strumenti musicali antichi dal maestro Canciani a Paularo. Sono titolari dell'azienda che produce clavicembali in cui vengono utilizzati legni certificati PEFC ricavati da alberi prevalentemente della Val Pesarina. Si occupano della produzione artigianale di ogni singolo componente dei clavicembali seguendo antiche pratiche artigianali. I clavicembali sono costruiti su modelli originali di antichi strumenti custoditi in musei europei.
Occasionalmente si dedicano al restauro di mobili.
