Municipality of Perušić - Kristian Kreković exhibition

Kristian Kreković (1901-1985) was a Croatian painter and architect. He was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, studied painting in Vienna and painting and architecture in Paris. He died in Palma de Mallorca, where is a gallery "Museu Kreković" that hosts his art. During his lifetime, he spent many years in Peru, which inspired him for painting authentic characters from the Peruvian Andes. After his death, in 1994 his wife donated his paintings to Croatia, and a third of the collection has been stored since 2015 at the Town Library of Perušić, because Perušić was his father’s birth town.
