"Mario Pagano" boarding school is the oldest school institution in Campobasso and is one of the most important of the region too. In over two hundred years of history its classrooms have been walked by students, teachers and people that have been important for the cultural development of Molise and the South of Italy. The building is one of the most significant for architectural quality of the city center and enriches the urban landscape with the important varieties of trees in its botanic garden. At the inside it preserves and shows a rich collection by local artists from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
