Liberation Day Event – 25th April

Liberation day event (Italian: Festa della liberazione), or simply 25 April (25 aprile) commemorates the end of the fascist regime and of the Nazi Germany occupation during World War II and the victory of the Resistance in Italy. It is an 18km walk along Senio River which recall all the massacres, bombings, killings and that unforgettable joy of the Liberation of Lower Romagna. Since 2004 those eighteen kilometres are transformed into a theatre, a space for music, dance and storytelling where art intertwine with the history of the community and create community.
