City of Gospić - Baške Oštarije
Baške Oštarije is a village located on one of the most beautiful mountains, Velebit, 936 meters above sea level. It is situated about twenty kilometers from Karlobag on one side and almost as much from Gospić on the other. It is a place with many beautiful peaks, a place of irresistible beauty and fresh air where the Mediterranean and continental climate combine.

Tourist experience: Baške Oštarije is an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts. There are many peaks with an amazing view on Velebit and the Adriatic Sea: Filipov kuk, Ljubičko brdo, Dabarski kukovi, Kiza, Badanj, Veliki Sadikovac etc. When visiting Baške Oštarije, in the recreation center there is a possibility of recreational riding. Here one can also ski on a prepared trail just over a kilometer long, located near the hostel. The hostel also has a restaurant where one can taste local dishes. Nearby, there is one of the most beautiful hiking trails - Premužić trail, which is today considered a masterpiece of trail building. There is also an educational trail/road Terezijana built in 1786, named after Maria Theresa - Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary. One should definitely not miss visiting a viewpoint Kubus and enjoy the panoramic view on the mountain, islands and the sea.

City of Gospić - Village Brušane
Brušane is a beautiful village placed at the foot of Velebit. Around one hundred years ago, Brušane had a population of around 730, and today it is only 130. The River Suvaja flows through it and it used to be famous for trout farming. There is also one renovated watermill. The village is built on the oldest karst rocks from Mesozoic and there are 3 world-famous geological sites visited by many scientists -Kalvarija / Velnačka glavica, Paripov jarak and Košna vrelo. There is also St. Martin's church, named after the patron saint of the village. Monument to the Velebit Uprising is a memorial of the first organized resistance of the Croatian people against the military police terror of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
Brušane - Croatia/ Lika-Senj county
Tourist experience: In a village Brušane one can experience active tourism - there are many cycling trails, beautiful peaks for climbing, rivers for fishing, and the locals are known mushrooms pickers. If one is more interested in geology, Kalvarija / Velnačka glavica, Paripov jarak and Košna vrelo are places to visit. For those who love going off the beaten track, it could be interesting to discover the remains of the old village of Brušane (Cimitar), hidden from the main road.
